Tim Allen's new comedy "Last Man Standing" got off to a pretty good start for ABC Tuesday, keeping the string of solidly rated new comedies going this season. Otherwise the night played out pretty much to form, with "NCIS" leading CBS to the top spot overall. FOX's coverage of the American League Championship Series pulled in decent numbers.
CBS led the night with 15.3 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/15 share in households. ABC (13 million, 8.6/13) was a pretty strong second. FOX took third with 8 million viewers and a 5.1/8, although those numbers will change some because of the live telecast. NBC (5.4 million, 3.6/5) came in fourth. The CW (1.6 million, 1.1/2) was up a bit over last week.
The adults 18-49 title also went to CBS, which averaged a 3.1 rating. ABC finished second with a 2.8, beating FOX's 2.4 and NBC's 2.0. The CW earned a 0.7.
